Before the incident
Employee was attempting to hook up a loaded trailer (mini excavator) to ball hitch on back of his truck.
What happened
While hooking up the trailer and excavator to [REDACTED] [REDACTED] the hitch became stuck on the truck’s ball. I attempted to reposition the trailer by hand and during this process the trailer dropped onto the ball causing my finger to become caught between the pintle and the ball resulting in injury.
