Employee was removing a large water filled tractor tire and was attempting to manually move it from its mounted position and attempting to leverage the tire using his upper body to lean into the dismounted tire causing strain to both calves.

While removing a large John Deere tractor tire the employee lost balance and began to fall backward. It was later determined that the tire was water-filled significantly increasing its weight compared to an air-filled tire. The unexpected weight difference caused the employee to stumble backward while handling the tire. Fortunately the tire became caught on the frame of an overhead cover for the outdoor air compressor preventing it from falling onto the employee and averting further injury.
