What happened
Was cutting open a box of extrusion material with a safety knife. The knives are designed to self-retract after cutting through material. The blade caught a staple on the box causing employee to lose control of the knife resulting in a laceration through his pants to the front of his right thigh. Went to occupational health clinic for further treatment. Wound was closed with sutures.
