Before the incident
Associate set down a part at the welder. She then took off her gloves in order to take her ID out of her pocket for the supervisor document request.
What happened
Employee operating a welder was asked to get out her ID by her Supervisor to help with a timeclock issue. The employee set the part down in a container with the edge sticking out. She then took off her gloves in order to take out her ID from her pocket. During that motion her right hand struck the part cutting the top of her hand.
