Before the incident
The associate was troubleshooting an air actuated die lifter in press 6. The associate was removing the lifter and air cylinder to determine if the cylinder was bad.
What happened
Employee used an air nozzle to raise the lifter the airline built up pressure and blew out of his hand causing the lifter to drop down onto his fingers. Employee did not have on gloves and did not have the work instructions.
