I was performing an ultrasound on a patient.

I was scanning using a coronal window. The patient was agitated and moving throughout the exam so I had the bed railing up for precaution. While I was scanning he abruptly turned onto his right side. While doing this my hand wrist bent backwards and was pinned between the patient 's stomach and the railing of the bed.

Right wrist.. Pain in the wrist. It feels like a shooting radiating pain.

The patient involved and the patient stretcher.

Onset of pain to right wrist after same was wedged in hyperextended position between patient 's body and stretcher siderail.
