Before the incident
putting plug into new sewer system
What happened
A utilities division excavator operator was in a new manhole putting a plug into a new sewer system to low pressure test when the air hose fell into the manhole. The fitting on the hose struck the top of the employees head causing a small laceration. The operator had just removed his hard hat to look down the pipe when the air hose struck him. The operator was taken to a nearby ER but did not need stitches.
