Assisting with turning patient for linen change and incontinence care in [REDACTED] uncertain of exact time.
What happened
Patient was turned toward me and as I was holding her up she began to push back against the side rail putting strain on particularly on my left side. Afterward my left arm up my shoulder and into my back was sore. This worsened through the day and that night it ached so bad it made it difficult to sleep despite taking ibuprofen and tylenol. The next day at work tylenol and ibuprofen around the clock did not seem to improve the pain and I was severely limited in range of motion as well as function.
