Using a wrench to remove bolt on footing of new break station table.

What happened

On [REDACTED] at around [REDACTED] an employee was using a wrench to remove a bolt on the footing of a new break station table at [REDACTED] new building. When the bolt was released the footing shifted causing the wrench that the employee was using to shift upwards. When the wrench shifted upwards the employee s left middle finger was pinched in between the wrench and the break station table. A witnessing employee shifted the footing on the other side to free the involved employee s finger. The involved employee immediately called the [REDACTED] Manager who met the employee at [REDACTED] with the first responder s bag. After administering first aid to clean and bandage it was determined that the employee should be taken to Urgent Care since there was a partially open cut on the top of the middle finger and behind the fingernail. The employee received 5 stitches at NGPG Urgent Care - Buford. The employee should return in 10 days to have stitches removed.
