Before the incident
At start of shift EE [REDACTED] went to work station at [REDACTED]. EE took the first step onto the stairs with left foot where stairs then tipped forward. EE states only forefoot was on the step at the time and when the stairs had tipped his foot slipped off the stairs where he felt immediate discomfort on the inside of his left ankle and foot. Increasing when weight was put on injury. EE noticed a cut metal block that was underneath the stairs that looked like it was there to support the front left leg.
