Medical staff was putting in [REDACTED] drain on this patient with the harpoon needle attached. Medical staff ended up poking right index finger with the harpoon after getting the JP drain tubing through the patients skin. Medical staff immediately took off sterile gloves and gown and exited the OR room to wash hands with soap and water. Another EE went and got the tubes to draw labs on the patient and the paper work to fill out. Once Medical staff got back in the OR room EE told Medical staff that per protocol they should go to the ER to get blood drawn and call the OUCH line. Medical staff said they are not getting blood drawn or calling the ouch line due to fear of needles. Medical staff also said they would only get blood drawn if the patients blood came back positive for something. Medical staff then used betadine on the wound on finger and then rescrubbed. Medical staff then removed the contaminated JP drain; used betadine to clean the site again; then inserted another JP drain t
