Preparing to unload a patient in a wheelchair from the ambulette

Employee is preparing to unfold the wheelchair lift in the back of the ambulette. The left rear door was secured in the appropriate position. The right rear was still lacked to prevent the door from swinging open freely. The employee states having right hand arm on the door ready to push open further to allow access to the lift controls. When EE pushed against the door they felt a sharp pain through out arm and fingers. Employee stated receiving aid happen to be outside and offered to take the patient inside. Employee transferred care to the facility representative. The employee stated didn 't think twice about the pain till they arrived at [REDACTED] for her next assignment when they attempted to engage the emergency brake and was unable to perform the task due to the pain.
