EMPLOYEE AND PARTNER WERE TAKING A PATIENT HOME ON A ROUTINE DISCHARGE AND NEEDED TO TAKE THE PATIENT UP THREE TO FOUR STAIRS THERE WAS ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW COVERING THE STAIRS WE TOOK THE PATIENT UP THE STAIRS IN THE AMBULANCE STRETCHER THE STRETCHER WAS POSITIONED WITH THE PATIENTS HEAD AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS I WAS AT THE FOOT END THE BOTTOM OF THE STRETCHER EMPLOYEE WAS STANDING ON ONE OF THE SNOW COVERED STAIRS WHEN EMPLOYEE LIFTED THE STRETCHER UP WHILE LIFTING FOOT SLIPPED SLIGHTLY ON THE SNOW AND EMPLOYEE FELT A PAIN IN MY LOWER BACK
