Attempting to manually hold patient

Writer responded to staff in hallway struggling with agitated patient who was holding staff by hair and writer applied AEGIS technique to remove employee 's hair from patient 's grasp. When grasp removed patient scratched and bit BIL hands and struck writer in right arm and kicked in right shin. When attempting to place patient in controlled position writer felt pain in right shoulder and had difficulty moving right arm and had numbness and tingling. Applied ice to right shoulder and cleaned and dressed wounds to hands. Supervisor notified ouch line called and then spoke with 360 health nurse and advised to be seen at 360 health called and made appointment at 360 health for [REDACTED] and arrangements for security to transport.
