EE was moving product around the kit cart to obtain the piece parts

EE was moving product around the kit cart to obtain the piece parts he need to perform his job when the 72 sweeper cutting edge slid off of the kit cart striking him in his right shin. The cutting edge was not in its typical location and it caught him off guard. He saw a lead walking by and grabbed his attention and went down to the PCL desk to seek first aid. He went into the first aid room where a EMR team member cleaned and bandaged and the employee returned to work. He was told that he could go ice the affected area if needed.
