Before the incident
Removing a truss (6 'long 3 ' tall) from rollers to stack on a cart.
What happened
At [REDACTED] Employee ([REDACTED]) went to take a truss (6 ' long 3 ' tall) off of rollers to stack on a cart. [REDACTED] placed his right hand on top of the truss and his left had was under the bottom of the truss. As [REDACTED] lifted the truss he did not have a secure hold of it as he moved to stack the truss it slipped out of his hands. As the truss fell [REDACTED] 's left forearm was struck by a metal roof connector that is used to assemble the truss. The result was a laceration which required medical treatment.
