Employee states I was kicked in the left upper chest and my hand was scratched pulled and bent by a patient in the ICU room number 11 the patient was partially restrained with both arms restrained and 1 foot slightly off the bed the patient was receiving a needle in the left hand and while I was holding his left hand for support in case he moved I was able to collect the first tube of blood. As I began to collect the second tube the patient attempted to get off the bed grabbed my hand tightly and aggressively then kick me in the chest with both feet. After I told him to stay on the bed. My chest is now sore and a little tight.
