Sitting in van

During junk car loading operations a passenger van was pulling into Lot A to unload drivers. While pulling into the lot a third-party forklift operator [REDACTED] struck the van’s right rear quarter panel while backing up. According to the van driver the forklift operator was not looking behind him while backing up. In an attempt to alert the forklift operator the van driver honked the horn repeatedly. The forklift operator then preceded to back into the van causing damage to the van and injuries to the van driver and passengers. The van driver stated that the forklift driver was maneuvering the forklift “aggressively.” The forklift operator did not report any injuries. The forklift operator was a longshoreman working for Tartan Terminals Inc. on behalf of BalTerm Inc. The forklift operator did not provide any information on what happened or personal info when requested. The van driver and passengers reported that they were wearing their seatbelt.
