Before the incident
The employee was painting a drum in the paint booth the drum was suspended in the air by a crane.
What happened
The drum released from the crane that it was attached to resulting in the drum falling downwards. During the fall the inside of the drum caused a laceration to the employee 's head no other injuries were incurred. Nearby employees responded to the incident to lift the drum up stabilize it alert others and help the employee escape. After escaping one of our certified first responders assessed him and called for the EHS Manager to get the employee to medical treatment.

Laceration to the upper forehead hairline area on the head. While at concentra the employee received medical staples to the area.
