assisting with emergency measures on a co-worker 's patient.
What happened
attempting to reposition a patient during a rapid sequence intubation. A needle used to draw up medication for the procedure was present on the patient bedding and was grabbed by the nurse sticking her in the R hand.
Injury or illness
Helping patient to sit down from bedside commode. Putting recliner in reclined position for patient and pushing up & down on lever to get legs in upward position. Felt pain in right upper back. Hurts when she breaths now.
