cleaning up after procedure went to put sharp in bucket was asked by DR to do another task- set needle down to do task proceeded to pick up sharps and needle was facing toward my hand when i picked it up

Pt started moving while immunization was being given. Needle became bent and safety guard activated. In the process of disposing needle it penetrated index finger on left hand.
