There were small amounts of saw dust sitting on the board he was getting ready to fasten. The IE shot a nail into the board with his nail gun causing the saw dust pile to go airborne and come to rest on the foam lid inside his foam lined glasses. The IE states that the saw dust sitting on inside lid of his foam glasses went into his right eye when he looked up. The IE attempted to wash his eye out with eyewash but was unsuccessful.
