What happened
While performing a tack weld overhead. the trigger hold switch on the wire feeder was unintentionally activated. As a result an excessive amount of weld wire was applied leading to a puddle of molten metal dripping from what was meant to be a simple tack. The molten metal drop fell into the welder’s left pant pocket causing a burn to the left thigh.
