What happened
While raising the bed in [REDACTED] sparks began flying from behind the head of the bed once I noticed I released the bed handrail. Sparks continued to fly and emitted a large cloud of smoke that filled the room. My coworker [REDACTED] went and got help around then is when I noticed pain in my wrist that traveled up to my shoulder. House sup. [REDACTED] came up and recommended I take a break and if pain continues increased to check in to the ED and do a safe2share. Was informed by maintenance that the bed cord was stretched and short circuited against the frame of the bed.
