Employee was banging on a silo on mezzanine area.

During the shift grey cement was not flowing properly into the scale hopper despite the silo indicating adequate material (approximately 36000 lbs remaining). The associate performed the routine task of striking the exterior of the silo to dislodge material sticking to the interior walls. The associate accessed the silo area multiple times throughout the shift and was periodically contacted by radio to strike the silo as needed to maintain batching. From approximately [REDACTED] the associate took a scheduled lunch break during downtime with no silo striking required during that period. Production resumed and the associate continued striking the silo intermittently until the final batch was completed at approximately [REDACTED]. A total of approximately 18 batches were produced during this period.
