Before the incident
Employee was connecting an air hose to a pressurized air line via a quick connect type fitting. One part of the fitting is on the fixed air line and the part on the hose.
What happened
The employee thought the fitting had been made and released his grip on the hose part of the fitting. The connection however was not completed and the pressure in the line blew the hose fitting upward striking him in the face.
