What happened
CRN on 6th floor called and told me about a needlestick from nightshift that happened at [REDACTED]. That employee called the new employee exposure hotline at [REDACTED] but they did not answer so she left a voicemail. I house supervisor called the new employee exposure hotline to see what my role was and was also met with their voicemail. Voicemail left at [REDACTED]. Call back received at [REDACTED]. Informed them of needle stick and they contacted employee for more information. They called back at [REDACTED] with clarifying questions. Employee health then called at [REDACTED] and stated at [REDACTED] that the orders were placed on this patient. Consent done by physician at 1000 and this HS drew blood and sent it to lab [REDACTED].
