What happened
Staff members heard a loud crashing noise coming from patient 's room in [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] was found on the floor laying on her back IV pole fell on her. She stated she had just canceled the bed exit alarm and her foot slipped on a cord and she fell backwards hitting her head. She was unable to move her left leg in obvious painful distress. Rapid response was called. Hospitalist Resident ER physician assessed her. C-Collar placed on her by ER Nurses who also transferred her to stretcher with lift board. She was transported to ER for further management.
