What happened
Arrived at bedside due to ordered ABG. Explained to patient the procedure and told patient he would need to hold still. I had my left hand on the pt forearm and when I stuck patient and he immediately snatched his arm back. When he did the needle entered my left index finger and began to bleed through the glove.
