Patient on 301 was attempting to bite IVs out of arm so [REDACTED] and I attempted to put glove restraints on patient. Upon attempting to restrain patient He grabbed my fingers and twisted them while pulling them in an awkward direction causing them to pop and swell. I immediately informed my nurse [REDACTED] the charge nurse [REDACTED] and my unit manager [REDACTED]. I then went directly to ED to be checked out.
