What happened
Working with patient in [REDACTED] who was completing a squat pivot transfer from recliner to wheelchair. Therapist was providing Mod A using gait belt to facilitate improved transfer performance to L side. Due to patient ataxia and L side weakness unable to get enough hip swing initial transfer was going to be unsuccessful and to prevent patient from buckling forward therapist provided assist back to recliner chair. During movement back to chair therapist had to stabilize patient at trunk with gait belt and twist them back into the correct position in chair. Twisting motion caused strain at therapist L wrist.
