What happened
He was hooking a bundle of 3x12 48 [REDACTED] in bay 7-24 when his right thumb was caught between the chain and the end of the bundle. He stated he had on mechanics gloves and was using a aluminum no touch tool at the time of the injury. He said his right hand (thumb) was dragged uo into the pinch point by the no touch tool when the chain was lifted trolling in by the crane. The crane operator said that he accidentally went up on the crane controls for a moment when he intended to go down. He heard employee call when out his thumb became caught between the chain and the end of bundle. He did not notice or remember seeing a no touch tool when he looked directly down to employee standing below. The crane operator did not see what happened prior to hearing employee call out
