What happened
Employee put his hand on the outside of the stack of pallets to help stabilize them. When the motorized pallet jack was pushed in to transport the stack the employee 's finger became caught between the stack of pallets and the pallet jack. The employee pulled his hand back rapidly which led to a degloving injury and an eventual amputation of the right index fingertip.
