The employee was completing maintenance on one of the cooling towers including cutting and drilling into metal wearing all required PPE.

After the employee arrived home he changed from his work clothes (including a beanie hat) upon changing he began experiencing a foreign body sensation in their left (LT) eye and irrigated the eye with water. The pain persisted overnight. The [REDACTED] the employee went to work and attempted irrigation with saline solution but received no relief. The employee subsequently went to the Emergency Room. The employee believes that metal shavings from the beanie hat may have fallen into the L eye.
