Before the incident
I was on the ground walking beside the forklift & giving directions to the forklift driver.
What happened
My fellow employee was driving the forklift and carrying steel to bring it into the weld shop. I was walking on the ground on the right of the forklift. The forklift driver lowered the forks down to pull against the steel. The steel bounced backwards towards us & hit me in the right shoulder knocking me backwards. I fell on my left side hitting my head on the concrete floor.
