On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an associate working overtime as a tread trucker experienced a laceration to the left lower leg while offloading spools at tire machine 7400 An investigation revealed that the associate had positioned their truck on the main aisle facing east parking in close proximity to the spools due to their location During a verbal interview the associate described noticing a takeup spool partially extending into the aisle next to a column As they maneuvered between the takeup spool and their truck they inadvertently brushed against the spool with their left leg A thorough evaluation of the takeup spool revealed no specific burrs or protrusions however the ends of the spool showed signs of wear from regular use resulting in sharp edges along all surfaces of the keyway slot
