Employee was holding the baseplate with his right hand and the weld whip with his left hand. As he was tacking the plate on the weld wire skipped off the plate and went through his glove into his right index finger. Employee continued to work thinking it was not an issue. [REDACTED] at the start of shift date on [REDACTED] employee reported the incident. He stated it was sore and he could hardly bend his finger.
