A maintenance tech was using a belt sander on a round precut steel plate designated for the label machines. The plate got caught on the belt of the sander pulling the plate out of the technicians hand and cutting the technicians right ring finger. Medical attention was sought at the local clinic where the employee was treated for a laceration to the ring finger and released back with restrictions.
