Before the incident
An SCJ employee - who was originally stationed at the filler - came over to assist with removing cases from the third layer of a pallet that was identified as having double labels.
What happened
An SCJ employee - who was originally stationed at the filler - came over to assist with removing cases from the third layer of a pallet that was identified as having double labels. The line was manually palletizing using a pallet turntable at the time. While helping to remove cases from the pallet the employee did not realize that a pallet jack had not been fully removed from the turntable area and accidentally rolled their left ankle on one of the forks. The employee was not involved in the hand palletizing process only assisting with case removal. As a result of the incident the employee sustained a mild ankle sprain. The incident was immediately reported to the line lead who then notified the supervisor. An ice pack was applied to the employee?s ankle and they indicated they were okay to return to work.
