What happened
On Schuler press an employee attempted to remove the misfed part that was stuck to station 3 punch using a brass bar. During the removal process the [REDACTED]’s hand followed through and hit the punch. The [REDACTED] did not immediately notice the injury until task was completed and gloves were removed. [REDACTED] realized that hand was lacerated and promptly attended by code blue member and taken to doctor where stitches were administered. It was noted that the [REDACTED] was wearing only nitrile gloves at the time that do not have cut resistant protection for the task.
