What happened
At approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] an associate was rigging a base boom in Stage 3 of the Derricks line. While centering the lifting device the associates right pinky finger was positioned between the boom and the lifting device. The associate then raised the hoist causing the pinky finger to be smashed between the lifting device and the base boom. The associate was evaluated at the ER and the injury was deemed a laceration with an open fracture.
