Before the incident
Attempting to remove a cross threaded bolt.
What happened
Associate was performing rework in the [REDACTED] rear top box. A bolt was cross threaded and associate was attempting to drill out the bolt to remove. He drilled with a pilot bit and stepped up into a larger drill bit. When the associate drilled all of the way through the bolt it broke free and ricocheted. A piece of the bolt contacted the associates lower inside edge of the right eye. Associate stated he was wearing safety glasses but they where not sitting tightly to his face.
