What happened
The associate was using the overhead hoist to let a cart down. They had their left hand in a pinch point position and as the cart was lowered it caught their thumb in the cart smashed it. They then lifted the hoist up to relieve pressure on is thumb. They realized it lacerated and reported it to his group leader and supervisor.
