Before the incident
He was watching another associate struggle with taking the blade off of the saw. He then stepped in to help cut the blade off.
What happened
Associate was removing the saw blade when it became stuck behind the drive wheel. The associate cut the blade at that point it sprung toward the associate striking his forehead and causing a laceration.
