Working as a RN answering call lights passing medications. Going to assist a resident with a slide board transfer with CNA
What happened
Was going to assist CNA with patient on [REDACTED] with a slideboard transfer onto toilet. Was having difficulties all weekend with getting the right w c arm rest on and off. CNA attempted to get arm rest off and could not get. With my right hand was pushing the button to try and release the arm rest and with my left arm I pulled up hard to try and get arm rest off. Felt immediate pain in my left rib cage area. The arm rest still did not come off.
