What happened
Per ER documentation Accidentally stuck her left middle finger with a hypodermic needle that had been used on a patient in the ICU a short [REDACTED] ago. She washed the area. Per Epinet No malfunction was involved. I had my left hand in the way hovering with gauze and when i pulled the needle out of the patients hand I scraped my middle finger on my left hand before capping the needle. Clarified via phone that employee was activating safety
