Removal of spacer blocks from 600 Ton Gripper during change over

While completing a changeover the operator was removing a spacer block from the transfer east position gripper when the gripper unexpectedly closed resulting in a pinched finger. The failure of a seal within the open close pneumatic cylinder likely contributed to the incident.
