On machine 921 a bolt was overtightened causing the bolt to break off in the frame of the machine Maintenance was called to fix it Maintenance employee began drilling out the bolt with their right hand holding the drill when the drill bit broke This caused the drill to jerk to the left and the remaining part of the drill bit went through the EEs left index finger The drill bit was a 1 64 bit The drill bit went entered the finger above the first knuckle and exited at the base of the fingernail The drill bit did not go through the bone EE disinfected the wound and applied first aid They do not want medical attention On [REDACTED] EE stated to EHS Manager that they believe would like to go to Urgent Care to have the wound looked at
