Walking on concrete floor with misting of hydraulic oil.

On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] a hydraulic oil line on the #1 coil unwinder came unthreaded spraying oil on the east side of the unwinder and creating an oil mist on the west side. A Front End Mechanic noticed the leak applied absorbent pads and notified the Press Operator. As the Press Operator approached line 1 from the west they stepped onto the mist?covered floor slipped and struck their left shin on electrical conduit causing bruising and swelling. A supervisor witnessed the incident and first aid was provided with an ice pack. The employee finished their shift and initially declined medical evaluation. They were off until [REDACTED] returned to work and later sought medical care on [REDACTED] due to ongoing pain. A CT scan revealed a small left?ankle fracture and shin bone bruising. The doctor issued days away from work and the case is OSHA?recordable (DART).
