Before the incident
Sanitation employees were cleaning the RTB tote room.
What happened
Employee was performing wet clean of auger line 1. Witness [REDACTED] was cleaning another area of the tote room nearby. [REDACTED] was attempting to drain water and dry ingredients from the auger. One of the drain holes was not allowing water to pass. [REDACTED] did not stop the auger and put his finger in the drain opening to remove the clog. He inserted his finger into the drain opening and the ribbon caught his finger. He quickly removed his finger but was injured by the auger. Medical hotline was contacted and the employee was taken to the ER for treatment. Resulting in a finger laceration and fingertip break.
